Sound issue with MINT 13 & 14 Cinnamon (linux) install HDMI output

No sound need a fix best get looking around google – 1st scan this popped up HERE

My laptop DELL studio 1737 is running HDMI RV365 – radeon HD 3600 series

This came from the linux mint forum HERE credit as it works fine tested today 27th Dec 2012 

Open terminal type info below let it does it thing, except any request to install etc

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current

reboot open a video connected to HDMI and cheeck sound option in the main menu – select HDMI and make sure mute is unticked (it was before but made no difference, after installing the REPO it all works fine excellent stuff mint 13 is a keeper for now !!
